  1. Hi ,
I've been backing up my DVD's to hard drive and occassionally playing them from there also using power dvd. Recently though I am unable to play when trying to play fromt he hard drive. I can burn the files to disk and it plays fine. It just tells me It won't play in this region when I try from the hard drive. This use to work for me until recently. The only thing I can think of that might have caused this , is that I accidentally installed the Interactual player from one of the DVD's I was backing up. Since then Powerdvd hasn't been able to play from the hard drive.

Anyone ever experience this or know what's going on?

    Thanks

    Bruce

  3. I tried region killer to no avail. I haven't tried DVD genie because that seems to work on dvd drives and my problem is files that are on the hard drive.

  4. sounds like you got some RCE issues going on there.

open dvd decrypter, tools/ifo/region patch/region free

go to the folder containing the files, and patch all the IFO's & BUP's.. i used to use smartripper to rip my movies, but RCE protected titles would always screw up..

i only use dvd decrypter now, it kills off RCE from the get go..
