I am using iuVCR and I keep getting an error after about 15 mins of capturing...anyone here have any clue as to what could be the problem?
System configuration:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton
Abit NF7S (Nforce2) Motherboard
1 gig Dual DDR Memory
Nforce Soundforce audio
Asus AGP V3800UD video/capture card (Like an all in wonder, but an Nvidia TNT2, with a Phillips capture device)
I have tried huffy, mjpeg, and uncompressed (none) codecs, they all do the same thing.
The drive isn't running out of space...lots of room....
The error I get;
ERROR: EC_ERRORABORT event raised (error code: 80040228)
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Drivers are the current drivers from the Asus website. (Nvidia)
No droped frames
capturing at 640 x 480 etc
Any help much appreciated

bad news... I used VirtualVCR a few days ago and it's turned out to be a total failure. I care about setting recording in some future time and it failed. IUVCR records some time set recordings - very well except of fact that sometimes error occur. I will try various options with IUVCR. I'm sure that some detail is responsible for this failure. Once I managed to record two recordings with success and now it won't start recording or it corrupts after short time... I suspect I have some other settings then, when it was succeeded. Anyway I'm waiting for good advise in this matter from you and others
. Thanks in advance.

Current versions of iuVCR and VirtualVCR work worse than ones I used some years ago. I don't get it.

you surprised me! You say that older versions of these programs worked more properly than the newest? Hmm it's strange. Usually it's opposite. Please tell me which version of IUVCR or VirtualVCR do I have to get to be able to set timer and schedule recording and this recording will really succeed. I care about schedule very much! I tried to record something from TV in IUVCR and I set two programmes with two various times. And it recorded me just the first one and the second failed because of some strange error:
WARNING: level ( code: 0000F010)
After this error in IUVCR's log recording didn't even start. I searched a bit information in Google about it but didn't find anything but just few russian boards. I don't know their language. I will be very grateful for giving some hints about solving this problem or which another program (and version) would work and record for me all schedule recordings.
All hope in your advice, kind, unselfish people -
You should try progs like chris Tv or fly 2000 tv
I myself tried several versions of iuvcr, i found it to be unreliable.
Virtual vcr is good, although i could never make the scheduler work but i don't have the use for it anyway.*** DIGITIZING VHS / ANALOG VIDEOS SINCE 2001**** GEAR: JVC HR-S7700MS, TOSHIBA V733EF AND MORE -

thanks for advise. I will look around in a few days. I havent' heard about these programs until now. When I try it I will describe here my opinion. By the way VirtualVCR can't schedule any program for me too. I don't understand why they do software so defective.
