    It doesn't matter if I use Nero or Ulead to author a DVD, any movie I try to make turns out to be very very bright but the VOB files after transcoding are fine when I play them. Something is occuring in the burning process I think because the are very bright on any DVD player I use. Ideas?

    yeah, adjust the brightness on your screen!

    Throw a gamma or brightness filter on them before converting.
