    I have a sony dvd burner and i want to update my firmware. Problem is i can't figure out how to disable DMA on the drive. If i don't disable DMA will it mess my drive up? Also is it possible i do not have DMA on this drive as it is external. Thanks

    It's wise to disable DMA before updating firmware,go to Device Manager.
