cant save wav with virtualdub with xvid file ??

i tried extracting the audio from an xvid video but it gives me an error saying "no audio decompressor could be found"

how can i fix this ?

The 1st thing to do is use gspot or avicodec to identify the audio type. If it is not Ac3, download and install the required codec and it will work fine. If it is Ac3, search the forum and guides for haw to handle this as what you need to do depends on your target format.
