I had ripped a lot of movies, some of them have RCE protection like (Indiana Jones,
The Simpsons 3th Season and others)
I fixed them with IFOEDIT in order to make them work in my harddisk before burn them.
I have a problem with other movies like Sleeprs or Reign of Fire. After
ripping these ones, IFOEDIT does not detect any RCE protection and it works
fine in the computer.
After burn, the copy doesn't work in my Panasonic AK31 (region 1) and other
old standalone players.
In order to make a full region free copy for all standalone players I would
like to know:
How to set a region to IFOEDIT 0.95(in playback) or other software like
PowerDVD ver.4
Thanks

I could be wrong but I think software region is set to whatever your hardware region setting is. There are programs out there to bypass that and modify powerdvd for instance, etc.
Anyway you can check RCE protection with dvddecrypter and another free tool. See here http://mrbass.org/dvdrip -
Welcome to the forums, FrankRM.
You could try using DVD Shrink v3.0 beta 5 to remove RCE.
Set it to "No compression" if you want to use another software to compress if and when compression is required.
