    I have a Sony Dru500a with firmware f and I am trying to upgrade to g. Every time I try to upgrade, it tells me I need to reboot the computer first. I do so and when I try to upgrade again, same thing... It seems like this happened to me on a previous firmware upgrade but I can't remember what I did to get it to work. Anyone have any ideas?

    Boot up in SAFE MODE then upgrade the firmware.
