Latest divx encoder compatible with Liteon 2001?

Hi,
What's the latest divx encoder which is compatible with the Liteon 2001? It wouldn't play a 5.1 encoded movie for me. Would I have to go back to 5.07, or try to find an even earlier version?

I had a divx 3.11 movie which hung in the middle but played fine on my computer. I thought maybe I could fix it by re-encoding it using the latest Mac version of divx (5.1). The re-encoded movie also plays fine on my computers, but in the Liteon it just sits there displaying the filename like it's an unsupported format or something (it never gives any error message). The latest Liteon firmware made no difference in playing the re-encoded movie either.

As it turns out the original un-altered movie plays o.k. now since the new firmware upgrade. I would still like to know though what encoder I should use to have my movies compatible with the Liteon.

I'm using the 229 firmware.

I've encoded dvd to divx via Dr. Divx and intervideo's dvdcopy program.

Both work, think I prefer intervideo's dvdcopy for ease of use and no mus nofuss.
