  1. Hello. This problem has me baffled.I have had 3 DVD players (2 Toshibas and 1 Panasonic) that after 3 months of casual viewing will freeze for like a second or 2 but the sound continues. This is not at the layer change.I have used s-video hookups on all.I have also used optical and coaxial audio hookups. All the cables are the same,I just switched them around from different players.I have switched Receivers as the old one finally gave out.My entertainment center is located in front of my window but the curtains block any Direct sunlight. In my room I have 2 computers,2 vcr's,receiver, speakers, subwoofer, and tv.I mention this because someone thought I might have too many electronic items in my room that might be generating something that is causing this problem. When the freeze happens I notice on my receiver that the "PCM" comes up and that the light indicating that dolby digital or DTS signal goes out until the screen starts up again.Any help would be appreciated on to figure out how to fix this.Thanks.
