DVD Text

Sup people,

I would love to know how to write DVD Text to a disc. By this i mean like CD Text. You can have the disc name come up on your dvd player.

Any ideas

You can't with DVD,it's not in the specs.

When i put some movies in my dvd player from the shop, the disc name or movie title is displayed on the dvd player lcd screen.
There must be a way to do this.

I think DVD's do have text judging by the posts I have seen as sony DVD's contain title info

wouldn't the info be in the VIDEO_TS.IFO under the VMG_TXTDT_MG table?

I ain't seen a DVD with Text yet though but I would assume that's where it goes

all I see is

There is no VMG_TXTDT_MG table

it would be nice to see what it contains when it does

a few items down the list of 'What are the features of DVD-Video?' it states this

-Multilingual identifying text for title name, album name, song name, cast, crew, etc.

it would be nice to see an IFO with DVD text and how it looks
