  1. I am having problems doing this. I can successfully rip and freameserve the dvd. But, once i open TMPGEnc, and set this size to under 800 (according to tutorial on this site), it still makes the final file about 990 mbs. I have done it 3 times so far. Even with different adjustments, the file size is the same. Can anyone help me?

  2. Under the "system tab" check "VideoCD non-standard." Then lower the audio / video bitrate. But then you have an xVCD. It'll probably play fine.... it's just that if you have a picky DVD player it may not play.

  3. tmpgenc has bug in some versions that ignores any adjustements made to vcd so filesize will always come out the same (CBR 1150). Why not try authoring as a dvd ? mpeg1+ ac3 sound!

  6. Hi,
I tried the above given guide (KWAG's) and got a great VCD of 'The Italian Job', fit on 1 80 min CDR.

My question is, if I want to include forced subtitles, how do I go about doing this?

    Cheers,
    CJ
