Can someone help me with a fundamental question? My DVD ROM drive has two connectors for sound, one labeled analog and the other digital (it didn't come with a digital cable). My new Biostar computer is capable of 5.1 channel sound output but the motherboard only has one connector for CD audio and the only cable I have goes from the DVD ROM analog connector to it. How do I get digital audio from the drive to the onboard sound system?

OK, now I am confused. The computer has an SPDIF output. Is there some reason I can't think of for it to have an output but no way to connect the DVD player?
