i converted an avi movie to dvd compliant NTSC mpeg-2.ive scanned for bad frames and it allowed me to convert which had stopped me in the past.i burned to dvd and about 40mins into the movie it freezes but the audio goes weird then then the audio plays on,but the video is still stuck about a minute later the video resumes but leaving it out of sync and the audio is ahead of the video bye about 25-30 secs,i scanned for bad frames again but none could be found any ideas.

It can be a number of things -
media you are using
writing speed you burned the disc at
Sometimes it's the DVD player - I've had that happen before with VCDs
One player would freeze and throw the audio out of sync, but it worked perfect in another player.
Also played correctly on the first player after another try...but it's done that on occasion with some other VCDs.
A few other things may be the cause, but start with some of the basics first...a little more info will help get you responses
