    In my experience with converting from DVD to svcd, ive read that using bbmpg to mux the elementary streams is better than using tmpgenc built-in mpegtools. However, im curious as to why that is or if it is true at all? Thnx.

    bbMPEG is much better...
    You can uncheck the useless user data(scan offsets and sequence headers aligning) in bbMPEG as well.
