  1. I typically use the UDF/ISO compilation method in Nero to burn my discs. It seems to work fairly well, but screws up about every 20-25 discs. Same thing happens with the Video method. I don't think it is the discs at this point cause I usually only buy Ritek. Using DVDDecrypter, I have never had an unsucceful ISO burn, but (call me lazy) I don't like to spend the extra 5 min to make the ISO image. Is there a better program that lets you burn directly without making the ISO image?

I gave up on nero awhile ago. Only use it now for music cd and maybe a vcd/svcd here and there. dvd author is the only one I use now and it has yet to fail me.

I also gave up on Nero except for occasional SVCD/VCD. TMPG DVD Author's burner has so for been perfect in about 25 burns, using Ritek G04 media.

  4. I three gave up on Nero for DVD writing. I now use VOB Instant CD/DVD.
Not one failure. On occasion I will use Sonic Foundry DVD Architect when I am using it for authoring a DVD. Not one failure as well.

  5. Thanks for the info...I'll have to check them all out and ditch Nero like the rest of you...

  6. That's odd - I have always used the DVD Video template in Nero, and I have yet to encounter a problem with it that wasn't of my own making...

I've had numerous DVDDecryptor failures, all with version .17 It doesn't like buffer underruns (I think it's a bug), in fact it it doesn't implement buffer underrun at all (verified with RW testing).
