  1. What is the best DivX encoder from DVD?

    Considering, in order, quality of the output, stability and ergonomy....

    For DVDs, probably Gordian Knot. But it can be so overwhelming as to drive a new person nuts. If you want quality, go with Gordian Knot, and USE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (that means no 1 CDR DVD movies).

    You didn't say what your source was. If it's cam/capture, then you may want VDUB for the filtering abilities.
