Download Ad Aware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ ) and do a complete system scan, that will get rid of it.
Are you on broadband or a dial up connection? Most dialers don't affect broadband connections because they work on the basis of dialling an international or 1900 in the dial up connection tab of your internet settings. If you are on dial up I would suggest turning off your modem until you can rid yourself of the dialer.
If you do get unexpected charges on your phone bill you can consult your phone company or ombudsmen to see if the charges can be voided due to their malicious nature.
In future you may also want to use a firewall that will prompt you to either allow or block internet traffic. I use Kerio ( www.kerio.com ) which is free and is a relatively small download and footprint. -
Also look in your Add/Remove Programs list for odd entries. Alot of diallers come with uninstall programs however they disguise them by using names that mimick common program names and windows patches.
You may also be able to simply delete the folder containing the program as a dialler commonly doesn't need to install itself through the command prompt window or by entering safe mode.
Use Ctrl + Alt + Del to kill any processes (apart from Explorer.exe, Systray.exe) before you try deleting the file. -
Thanks for the reply but I tryed ad-aware and it couldnt get rid of the files.
And i do have a firewall installed -Norton 2004.
I still cant get rid of the files -
Have you updated the reference file in Ad Aware recently? If you haven't I would recommend doing that as it will help to find and remove any spyware/dialler's.
Another program I would recommend is Spybot (found here). That should be able to find the dialler.
Did you try the method I suggested of closing all processes/applications (using Ctrl + Alt + Del) and then trying to delete the file using either a command prompt in DOS or in safe mode?
What files are actually on your computer from the dialler (i.e the name of the folder it created and the contents of that folder)? If you provide that I could probably give a more specific answer to removing it. -
Spybot is better than Ad Aware, so I'd grab it.

If spy bot doesn't get it then find out the name of the dialer in question and look it up. Someone will know how to nuke the thing.
