Hi to you all
I have a Pioneer 106D (official 1.07 firmware) which is working fine but I had a compatibility problem with Nero and Instantcopy 8. I uninstalled Instantcopy but noticed that my PC was running like a real dog which I eventually tied down to my second hard drive being put into PIO mode (for some unknown reason).
Anyway, I eventually got everything working but I noticed something really strange when trying to do a backup on a Traxdata Ritek G03 DVD-R. For some reason it has added an option for 2.4x speed when using these discs?!?! They definitely aren't +Rs, so I just wondered if anyone else has noticed a similar issue? This only seems to happen using Nero 5.5.10.54.
Thanks
Mark

Really can't help you. But if you are using XP, it will throttle down the drive to PIO if it runs into problems accessing it more than a few times. Is the drive in good shape?

The drive is only about a year old and shows no errors or problems. Having said that, when I bought it the packaging was damaged and so I asked the company to ship me a replacement. When the replacement came they told me to throw the damaged one away - which of course I didn't do and it turns out that it worked fine. So I do have a spare if the worst comes to the worst!
