I found an interesting way to play to play a DVD+r that ordinarily would not play in my player. I have a Koss portable and when I try to play a certain DVD+r, the disk just won't boot up. To solve this problem I first insert a regular DVD and start playing it. Then I put the player on pause and wait one minute for the disk to stop rotating. Then I open the door on the player, remove the disk and insert the DVD+r and press play. The image on the TV will be of the first DVD for a few seconds, then the second DVD will start to play (although the first few minutes will be skipped). Also to do this, the lid switch the the DVD player must be glued in the closed position to make the player think that the lid is closed.
