That's cool... As long as you don't have any copies of "Barnyard Follies" floating around...

    Really????????
I thought it was just a unversally used term for an unborn, yet to be born child

    Nah,

Over here they prefer that term so that it seems less like taking the life of an unborn child.

Clinical sounding. Our baby if you're keeping it. Foetus if you consider it just miscarriage material.

'Course in England it may be different.

    Cheers,

    George

(Check out www.ananova.com . No wonder you Brits worry about the prices of components. Average price of a pint of ale is 2 #s +, over 3 bucks, US. Wow!!!)

  6. Over here the reference to foetus has nothing to do with abortion.

Definition :an unborn or unhatched vertebrate in the later stages of development showing the main recognizable features of the mature animal

The price of lager varies hugely depending on the pub you are in. Where I live I can get a Pint for around £1.50 in a wetherspoons pub (renowned for their value) or go next door to a trendier pub and pay £2.50 a pint.

Here foetus just means an unborn child, nothing to do with abortion. That comes with you always refer to it as a foetus and not as your child

Plenty of kittie lovers in here it seems. There's just me and a dog in our household, though she's plenty to tackle with on her own.

    Craig,

ananova is, I think, a Brit site, and if you found the statistical page/story I refer to, that was the "average" price. As it seems most of your pubs are brewery owned, I would assume prices are set by the landlords, and would be close unless some kind of price war was taking place.

Very interesting site. Lot of insight.

I also have to assume you don't have the controversy over Pro Life/ Pro Choice we do. To the Pro-Life faction, "baby" from conception. Pro-Choice, Pro-Abortion, foetus till actual birth. You probably don't have abortion clinic bombers or abortion performing doctors being killed, either.

Unfortunately, neither seems to give a damn about the mother or child after it is born.

Ah, well, such is life in this screwed up world.

Sorry to get this off subject. My last on it.

    Cheers,

    George

Don't we spell it fetus here in the US? Or are you talking about a different thing? I've always know fetus to mean an unborn child after the embryo stage or something or other.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?
