I am a Newbie and seem to have figured out how to do the difficult tasksreading many of the help guides but cannot seem to find info on this simple task. I captured a one hour miniDV tape to a large file. Now I want to select scenes and edit it down to about 10 minutes. I tried Videowave movie creator SE but all I figured out was how to edit one piece and save that piece. I want to edit out a piece and save the remainder not the edited out piece. I also have Ulead Videostudio 6 SE basic and I can't seen to do it with this either. Is there a way to edit it down using either of these programs or do I need something else

The tool you after is VirtualDub, better to get the VirtualDubMOD from the tools section on the left, then use the guides again on the left to do what you want to do.
