Could someone explain me the differences between Subsampling 1/1/1, 4/2/2 and 4/1/1 in PICVideo MJPEG Compressor's settings?
The default value is 4/2/2 but I've changed it to 1/1/1 (combined with Quality=19) which seems to capture in better quality and equal or smaller filesizes.
I have no idea what this setting really does though!

Thanks for answering!
Believe it or not I was consistently careless enough not to notice the "Help" button at the lower right part of the dialog-box. The first time I actually looked (by habbit) for the usual (Windows standard) question mark on the top right corner of the dialog-box, it was missing and I insticlty (and wrongly) assumed there was no available help.
I appologize for the "dum" question.
Regards...
