  2. Can anyone recommend a good, cheap electric razor?
That's an oxymoron. If you want a good one you have to pay for it.
If you want a cheap one, might as well use a cheese grater...

I have a norelco that's pretty good. Not as close as a blade, but more convienient for sure. Pulls once in a while but not too bad.

Geez, the Mach 3 seems to be the razor of choice amongst the posters...hmm...is there some connection with a close shave and burning DVDs?? I myself just use a groomer, the hair hides a lot of sins!

I used to use Mach 3 but they are kinda expensive and if you haven't shaved in a few days it really hurts because its too close of a shave. I just use the two bladed Sensor now and even though its not nearly as close a shave its much easier on the face. I don't really care about a close shave because its grows out by late afternoon anyway, and you are just going to have to shave again the next morning. If I think I may get lucky that night or something then I'll just turn the razor around and shave both ways to get a closer shave, otherwise I think a little stubble actually looks good.

All these razor gimmicks are so stupid. How about the razor that squirts lubrication out in front of the blades? Isn't that what the shaving cream is for? Its nuts, how can a single razor blade cost more than $1? That's insane.

  6. Electric razor here...

No matter what I do, I have stubble by the end of the day anyway... It doesn't give that close a shave, but it's good enough and there is zero chance of cutting myself.

    Not to mention it's FAST.

And if you have a decent electric razor, it CUTS -- it only pulls if the blades are dull...

    Regards.

Blades are expensive, but you guys who say "Try a sharp electric" are mebbe in for a surprise when you go to get new heads for the Norelcos.(BTW, this is where this thread coincides with VCD-DVD, they both spin, not like a crap Remington that oscillates.)

Innyhoo, I tried to buy a new triple head for my own Norelco and they're about 40 bucks. The whole machine is mebbe 50 bucks. Sounds like they took a page out of Gillette's playbook.

Has anybody tried a BIC? I, personally, swear they shave as well as ANY buck a holder, 10 bucks a 5 pack of refill baldes, Gillette or Schick,or Wilkinson, Sword Blade or no. Hell's bells, I've used the same blade for months at a time, at work, and I shower and shave AT work, since I work in a pretty damn dirty environment, and we get cleanup time.

He, he, non union guys need not apply. What percentage of the forum would that be? 96, 97, 98? Or should I say anti-union?

    Ah,well,who cares?

    Cheers,

    George

Did you hear, as many as 3 million tech workers jobs may be farmed out to India? White collar, not blue collar. Man, you spend a 150 grand to send your kid to school,a nd he still ha to ask"Do you want fries with that?"

    Good luck, guys.

I knew you were bsing. One of my kids insisted she wanted one of those rolling spring things to do her legs, years ago.

They were f'in agony. Pulled the hairs out by the roots. Had to be invented by a man. If he'd run it over his balls to try it out,he'd have shot the supervisor who said let's run with it.

Same with a wax job. Pulls them out by the roots. Jusst not so many growing so ddamn deep.

Give it a try!!! You'll probably go hunt up a chunk of flint as a more humane way to get rid of the bush, or grow a beard.

    Cheers,

    George

  12. Actually I keep a beard about 50% of the time. I get tired of shaving for a couple of days, then I hate to shave a full stubble with my electric.

Oh well, I thought it was funny to say I wax instead

Least I didn't say anything about a Brazilian waxing
