  1. I did some encodes recently in "safe mode". This seemed to take quite a while longer than in normal mode - anyone know why ?

  2. for the $2,000+ you paid for the encoder I would ask cinemacraft. or "backgrade" to v2.50.

  7. Windows safe mode only loads the bare minimums to get the OS up and running so you can fix any problems that occurred during a normal bootup.

I'd make sure that your machine boots up clean and run in normal mode when doing CPU intensive tasks like capturing and encoding.

Getting too many BSOD in normal mode when encoding. Its probably time for a clean install of 2k, but I am sooooo lazy when it comes to doing stuff on the PC that aint fun
