I've got a 25FPS PAL DivX file I'd like to convert in NTSC VCD. I found a guide for SVCD PAL to SVCD NTSC here, but that's not exactly what I need

Anyone got a guide/know how to do this?

    Would be great, help thanks.

Do the same with the divx file, load it into tmpgenc, choose ntsc(film) video only and in advanced settings click on `do not frame rate conversion` and with the audio presuming you have stripped it from the avi file use besweet to change 25fps-23.976fps mp2 setting..After both files are finished mux together, done it myself and works great.

When I try to Mux the audio with the video, it says "Illegal MPEG Audio Stream".

If I use the original MP2 that's in PAL format, it accepts it.

    Why won't it accept the 23.976 MP2?

The guide explained how to rip audio from a SVCD file by using De-Multiplex in TMPGEnc. You can't demux an AVI file in that... so what I did was convert using "Audio Only" and saved it as mp2, then converted to 23.976 mp2 using Besweet. Now TMPGEnc won't accept it.

  5. It could be that MP2 is a 'legal' audio format for PAL but not a 'legal' audio format for NTSC...?

It could also be that TMPGEnc wants the NTSC video rate of 29.997fps instead of the NTSC film rate of 23.976fps...?

I don't if either of these applies, but they were the first thoughts that came to my mind.

Load the avi into Virtualdub, set the Audio to "Full processing Mode", Then save the wave file from Virtualdub, now convert that in Besweet.
    Might solve your problems

BatFink, I had done that before, but when I tried converting the WAV into MP2 using BeSweet, the command line would pop up, then I'd get this error:

Error 46: Invalid combination between SSRC values & FRC values.

So I had no choice but to convert using "Audio only" which gave me an MP2, which I then converted to 23.976fps using BeSweet, but now TMPGEnc won't accept it..

It seems I'm out of choices.
