  3. Nero has done that to me as well. I just don't trust Nero for burning DVD's anymore. I create an image first of the completed folders and burn them with DVD Decryptor. The DVD's now play perfectly.

  5. If you have a SONY standalone dvd player that is your problem. I have a sony dvd player (DVP-NC600) and any DVD-R I made that has an altered "ifo", it will NOT play. I will get the error message "C:13".

This is a disk calibration problem and there is no remedy to fix it.

Most DVD'R's will play that don't have an altered "ifo". These are straight-backups or only the movie backups. By altered "ifo", I mean a method that produces a DVD'r containing only the Movie and the Menu.

Like you, my laptop's DVD drive will play the disks as well as a Mitsubishi standalone DVD player I have, but not my Sony standalone dvd player.

I've had a Sony and it did play DVD's with modified IFO's as I always butcher DVD's and they played back fine as long as I did the job properly

the couple of issues were my own doing with silly mistakes , but a quick mod & reburn sorted that
