    i wanna play the dreamcast on my laptop screen and since i already have a dv camera, i figured that this would be easiest.... i tried playing through a usb2 cap device but it was too laggy... any suggestions??

    If I'm getting this right. You want to feed the signal from the DV Camcorder to your laptop? If your DV camera has a firewire passthrough, you could get a cardbus firewire card. I paid about $40US for one and it works with DV signals. Never tried previewing it full screen, though.

    Never thought, it was possible to preview DV in full screen (i.e. > 720x576/480).

  5. What about iuVCR (from iuLabs)...
    It has resizeable preview window for viewing DV video.
    I think I was able to watch it in resolution higher then 720x576/480...
    (I am outside home at this time).

  6. You can use the "Amcap" freeware program for this:

    You can also try this "TV Viewer" shareware program:

    http://www.geocities.com/matroxfiles/tvviewer.html

    P.S. You also need a firewire card and cable.
