i ordered this dvd from spain and it's under region 2 so naturally my dvd player wont play it (samsung 709) and i've tried that region free code using the remote control and i get nothing, so what is my best bet? should i rip it into the computer (my cousins computer) and burn them into a dvd or should i just copy the dvd, i'm afraid that copying the dvd would result in the burned copy still having that region 2 setting. Any suggestions

Hello. -
thanks for the info but will it allow you to burn vcd's, and also when you rip the dvd using this software the files it creates can you use them to burn a vcd using a different program

Sure, open the VOBs in Virtual Dub mod. Frameserve them TMPGEnc and encode them to MPEG VCD format. Then use a program like Video Studio, or VCD Easy to burn to VCD.
