  1. My problem is a basic one, but i have no idea how to fix it.
I want to make a cd with some movie files ive downloaded.(mpeg, avi, asf) because i dont have enough room on my pc to store them.
My father recently bought a mac that can burn cds(yes my pc cant...).
Anyways, i transfer the files on the mac and then i burned a data cd and i drag and dropped the movie folder i put all the movies in in the diskcopy program for mac. When the cd finished burning, i put it in my pc, but it cant recognise the disk. I cant even open the d: drive. It says my cd is corrupt or not formatted. Then i put the cd in my dvd/vcd drive but it doesnt work.

What i want to do is use my fathers macintosh and burn a cd where there are avi., asf., and mpeg file, which my pc and dvd/vcd player can read. Ive seen cds that contains mpeg and avi files that my pc, my father's mac, and my dvd/vcd reads(well the vcd player only read the mpeg).

Can anyone help me by telling which type of cd type i should make (data, video, other...), or what burning program i should use to make my cd.

    Thanks in advance.

You might want to move this to the Mac forum. I have a G4 Mac with OS X and as long as the files are PC compatible, my PC reads them fine. However on my older Mac, the PC would get the'Unknown format'. I have only burned data disks on the Mac with AVI,s and MPG's and the PC would read them.
