  1. How do i do when i should install codec driver wich are a .dll file.My coputer asks "open with" when i double click it??

    What should i do??

    There's more to it than that. Generally speaking you don't have raw dll's.

    However, if your willinig, it goes like this:

    1) Put the DLL somewhere, it has to be in a known location. A good place is C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 for W2K/XP (substitute win98 for 98 machines).
    2) Then you have to 'register' the dll. It looks like this
    regsvr32 C:\Mail Snoop\BCGCB60.dll
    the command is regsvr32 and the rest is the full path/filename . In my example I am registering the file BCGCB60.dll which is in the folder C:\Mail Snoop

    to un-register a dll use the same line with a /u at the end like this:

    regsvr32 C:\Mail Snoop\BCGCB60.dll /u
    That's how you can manually remove a DLL from your system (unregister then physically remove).
