hey
For a while my new Sony DCR-TRV33E was working perfectly, i was capturing this and that. When all of a sudden it failed to work. Out of the blue. I dont know why.
I bought a new firewire cable thinking that was the problem. Didnt fix it. I stuffed around with it for ages and my last resort was Formating the Computer. Formatting Didnt Fix It.
Ive got everything set up correctly on the in-camera settings.
Windows fails to find the camera when it is plugged in via the firewire port. USB connection everything is fine. Firewire, no dice. All programs (DIVO, Premiere) say that there is no DV Camera, and i am at a loss as to what to do.
Ive noticed that when i look in device manager that there is no Sony Imaging Device. Gah i dont know. Anybody?
My system specs are:
ASUS P4S8X motherboard (onboard firewire)
Windows ME OS
P4 2.4g Processor
512mb RAM
and yeah..
if anyone can help me i would be most appreciative.

I would try camera out on another computer. If that isn't possible, make sure your camera is set to DV out. If that is okay, take it to a repair technician and have him check it out.
