I have ULead MediaStudio 7 and I want to edit avi files that are encoded with xvid. I have installed a recent xvid codec and the avi files play fine in Windows Media Player and tmpgenc has no problem converting them. When I attempt to use MediaStudio to open and edit the files, MediaStudio plays the audio fine, but the video shows one frame, freezed for several seconds, shows another frame, etc. It is as though MediaStudio can only interpret the key frames and drops everything in between. I don't understand this as MediaStudio would be using the same xvid codec as Media Player and tmpgenc, wouldn't it? I have no problems with Divx encoded avi files.

Is there something I need to do or configure within MediaStudio?
