  1. Good afternoon, I am getting good results with using Cecilios guide to encoding to svcd. Plays great in my Norcent standalone and the only problem now is the encoded file size. First file goes over 800 mb, usually 840 to 885 mband even with nero overburn, file won't fit on a regular cd-r.
Can anyone give help on what settings to use in the bitrate tab in dvd2svcd so I will get file sizes of or around 800mb? TIA for any help.

You mat want to try the bitrate calculator. See the Tools section at left.
    Hello.

  3. Thanks TK, so I dl'ed the file and inputed the length, and it gives what bitrate to use? Do I place that in the calculated average bitrate in dvd2svcd?
    Thanks for any help.

I would give it a try. Remember to use CD-RWs to avoid making coasters.

  5. Good suggestion TK, I am using em, hate making coasters. One quick question though, when deleting files can I just use quick erase or full erase? Thanks again for the help.

  7. Thanks man, quick erase did indeed work out and the calc also helped out. Now on to dvds with episodes, anyone have a tip for me, seems like I can only encode the episode with the biggest file.
    TIA for any help.

  8. even more simple, just use an average bitrate that is 10% less than you used last time. Remember it is the average bitrate that determines the size of your movie.

  9. Thanks then dvd2svcd will be able to encode the dvd with 4 episodes if I use a lower average bitrate? Sorry for all the questions.
