    tgpo,
could you give me a step by step how to?
    I tried this with a 20 sec AIFF , and A.Pack
said it made a vaild AC3, but when I drop it into Sizzle
for use on the TOC background, it says it contains no audio
data, therefore cannot use this file.

I made it as a 0/1, no audio compression, 160 kbps,
and i've tried 1/1, 2/1, and 3/1 and no luck!!!!
    What am I missing????

Here are the steps I take to produce an ac3 file.

    Open A.Pack
    Click File/New Batch List

    Under Audio Tab
Change Target System to Generic AC3
Change Audio Coding Mode to 2/0 (L,R)
Change Data Rate to 192 mbps
Change Dialog Normalization to -29 dBFS

    Under Bitstream Tab
Change Dolby Surround Mode to NOT Dolby Surround Encoded

    Under Preprocessing Tab
    Change Compression to None
    Uncheck RF Overmodulation Protection

Then back in the lest side of the window I click the top select button and select my aiff.

Then click on the bottom select button and select my aiff.

Be sure that one is set to left and one is set to right channels. (Done to the left of the select buttons)

Then Click Encode. That's how I've always done it.

the RF modulation and the Dolby I didn't mess with.

old enough I should know better:

after running through your steps tgpo,
it still didn't work. Then, on a whim,
i tagged the file as an ".ac3" file,
    which I didn't before, because I assumed
that Sizzle would read the header and recoginize it.
    :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P
    silly me.

    everything's grand now...
