I got a Ritek DVD-RAM and my LG doesn't see anything in the drive.
Anybody know what DVD-RAM does work and where to get them?
I'm using WIN98SE and F/W A300.
All other formats with Ritek work.

Hey Beams.
It took me the LONGEST time to get this device to see the DVD-RAM disc that came with it when I bought it... (Maxell DVD-RAM if Irecall)
Everytime I tried to format it (DVDForm), it failed saying 'something was accessing the drive' (can't recall exact error off hand).
After an exhaustive search I found that there were many 'utilities' that were running which accessed the dvd drive. I had to disable/turn off everything before I could run the DVDForm to get it formatted. Once I had it formatted I had no problems writing to it.
Hope this helps

WjWm, thanks for the reply.
When I attempt to format I get "no disk in drive".
