  1. Hi All,

I currently use Creative PlayCenter to extract the audio from all my THAI VCD's. But recently the few VCD's that I've just purchased doesn't even play on Creative PlayCenter or WindowsMediaPlayer..

Could it be because it's a SVCD?

**But it does play on Cyberlynk - PowerDVD! Sad thing is PowerDVD doesn't allow me to rip audio!!!

So question is --- Is there a software out there that will allow me to extract the audio from SVCD, just like Creative PlayCenter?

    Thanks in advance!!

  2. I can think of a few options:

    1. Use TMPGEnc. Use the demultiplex option to extract the audio from the (S)VCD mpeg file (I know with VCD you could just rename the *.dat file to *.mpg - not sure about SVCD though).

    2. Load the mpeg from the (S)VCD into virtualdubmod, and then use either the Save WAV option or the demux option to extract the audio (under stream list)

    3. Use an application like Total Recorder to make a digital copy of the sound while theVCD plays in real time.
