Anyone have a solution? I'm trying to multiplex video and audio files but tmpgenc won't open the wav. TIA

Combine them for what? I don't think you can combine them for anything without reencoding. -
First, convert your wav file to mp2 using TMPGEnc, this way you will not have any sync issues.
Second set TMPGEnc's Wav filter to a higher setting through the options/environmental.I Have Always Been Here

Why do you want to multiplex wav and mpeg-video? If its for a DVD, let the authoring program do it.

boy that just went completely over my head. I just started dvd authoring for some reason I didn't even consider that. Guess I'm just too used to making vcd/svcds. Thanks for the help.
