  1. Hi can any 1 help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im trying to create VCD from xvid/AVI files using TMPGEnc plus 2.5

ok the problem I get is when trying to encode XVID/AVI to VCD when the original XVID/AVI file audio is in MPEG layer 3, sample rate 48K format.

When TMPGE encodes the video i get no sound on the outputted file!(just video)

I installed SSRC plugin so that TMPGE was using SSRC for the audio sample rate conversion from 48K to 44.1K rather than its own converter but still no audio after the file is encoded???????

    Next

I tried using Gold wave audio editor to extract the audio from the XVID/AVI file and saved it as 16 bit PCM wave.
Then in TMPGE i open the video from the Xvid/AVI and open the audio from the saved 16 bit PCM wav file.

After encoding the result is intially good and I get audio on the outputted file,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but after 20 min the piture freaks out for a couple of seconds ,returns back to normal ! but now the audio is badly out of sync.

If anyone has any suggestion I would really appreciate it because im a bit stuck now [/b]

First scan the video for bad frames and get back to us. No use going any further until you do.

My expierence is that TMPEG won't encode from mp3 audio. Convert the mp3 to wav with VirtualDub. Load the new wav in TMPEG,this has worked for me.

  7. leesof,
Try AVI2VCD, it has an audio decompressor with it. This is what I use before using TMPGEnc to encode to mpg. It does not seperate the video and audio, but just decompresses the audio to pcm leaving one big file. This works for me everytime. Good luck.
