- Hello! I'm not sure if this is a problem that can be fixed or not, but I thought I'd ask at a lot of different forums and see what everyone thought.
- I'm having this really annoying capturing problem with Pinnacle Studio Deluxe. I know this product has a lot of audio sync issues, but I'm thinking it might not be entirely their fault this time! (but then again, it might!) When ever I capture anything at all (VHS, DVD, or Camcorder) the audio is between .03 & .05 seconds ahead of the video. (if that makes any sense!) This wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't as noticeable as it is! You hear the person speak before their mouth is open. (just a tiny bit before!) Lately I've been going into another editing program and moving the audio back .03 seconds manually. - but I'm getting tired of that now.
The Pinnacle Support people have been trying to help me for a month with all kinds of different solutions, but nothing has changed! I've tried that Scenalyzer program, but it doesn't work with my Pinnacle card. (I get constant squeaks that they said couldn't be fixed right now) & so far, Scenalyzer is the only program I've found that can recognize the Pinnacle card. (VirtualDub won't) So, like I've said, I've tried every update and program they're recommended - and still nothing.
I defragment both my main hard drive and my extra one all the time. I don't have any programs running in the background, or any updates going. I'm not even dropping any frames.
I was wondering if it could have anything to do with my VCR. (I'm going to go and get a tape cleaner later tonight, just to see if that's where the problem is) I can't tell from my overlay, but I think it's just as much out of sync when I'm watching capture. (I'm not sure though, since it is extremely hard to tell!) I'd keep moving the audio over myself, but lately I've found that around the end of the movie, it's already in sync. (I have no idea what that's about!)
Anyway, I'd appreciate absolutely any help or suggestions at all! I'd like to get back to my capturing later tonight, so I'll be checking back in on this post a lot. I've also attached a picture showing how I've been moving the audio up. (in case you didn't understand what I was doing) Thank you so much! Hope someone can help me! Bye!

- Katherine
