Heya,
i just borrowed an old DVD movie from my brother and ripped it (with DVDshrink) to my harddrive (this is not a rip thread, dont worry). My brother then took it back with him again and now im gonna burn the movie - altho my experience is that burning ISO files with DVD Decrypter is the best and safest way.
I got the tools to convert the IFO/VOB files to an ISO file - but now i cant remember the DVD Volume ID (for example "DIEHARD2").
So my question is - do I really need the correct Volume ID when making/burning the movie?
If i do, can i see that Volume ID label somewhere in the ifo/vob/bup files?
[EDIT: The movie is a DVD that me and my brother have bought together in an onlineshop, so it isnt considered warez making a backup copy of it]

it doesnt mater -- but 'borrowing' a dvd and making a copy is considered warez (same as 'borrowing' from blockbuster) ... therefore topic locked ..
sorry ..
update: further info supplied as to it not being warez - thanks (unlocked)"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
