Ok, because I'm not able to use DVD2AVI for some reason (it crashes when I try to preview or encode a file), I need another way to encode.

I got VOB files from a DVD. They have AC3 sound, so I demux them to AC3+m2v files with tmpgenc. The problem is that when I try to reencode the m2v to mpeg (from VBR 8000 to VBR 6000) I get nothing, no video at all. I'm able to play the m2v fine. Any ideas?

I'm ripping using IFO info, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I don't know what a cell, chapter, angle mean.

Can I use VirtualdubMOD to reencode it to AVI (huffman compression) w/o lossing AC3 audio? and reencode it to mpeg2? What I want to do it copy 3 DVDs into one by reencoding the video. The total amout of video is around 2 hours and the current bitrate is VBR 8000. I'm going to try VBR 6000 and see if it fits in one DVD.

    Thanks
