I am doing some video editing using Premier but I want to use film in dvd vob format but I cant load vobs into Premier. Is there a way of loading vobs or whats the best way to get then into Premier without losing any quality, I dont mind a realy big avi or somthing like that but I dont want to lose and of the DVD quality as I will be saving it back to DVD when the edits have been done.![]()

This probably doesn't help you with your Premiere issue, but VEGAS can import VOBs (albeit minus the AC3 sound) directly for editing purposes such as the ones you describe.

About the only way to achieve what you want is to convert the DVD Vob's to an uncompressed, or lossless compressed avi. Using the huffyuv codec (lossless compression) you will get about 60Gb/hour of video so I hope you have lots of disk space. There will still be some quality loss when converting this back to DVD (I assume this is what you intend to do - could be wrong) but this will minimise it as much as possible.
Good luck -
Thanks dborel that works great now I just need to convert the ac3 to wav or mp3 as I am getting no sound but I can sort that no probs cheers
