Run it through DVD Shrink. It will tell you how many GB it has.
Hello. -
There are a few ways:
First the obvious Check the box that the DVD came in If it says 'dual layer' then its a DVD9 (I have also come across a DVD14 disc 'The Piano')
Next check the DVD its self again your looking for 'dual layer'
Ok, and now for the ways to tell when your using a program.
- If the total file size is more then 5GB then it's a DVD9(or higher)
Hope I helped some...Total Dew U points : 392 0 pending

When I don't know if a DVD is single or dual layer I just pop it in my DVD-ROM drive and start up DVD DECRYPTER in ISO READ MODE.
It will then tell you if it is 1 or 2 layers.

looooook reallllly close you can see the layers.
put it in the dvd drive, click on the drive properties of your drive, ie d, e , f and see how large the disc is. -
Dual layered discs (DVD-9) are gold in colour. Single layered discs (DVD-5) are silver.
