i am trying to convert rm file to mpg and I am having some problems it says file is not supported. need help do I need to ad a codec. i have used nimo. ffdshow and some others nothing works .

EO WILL NOT OPEN IT EITHER ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS. It says it is not a valid folder. it says the extension is RM. But it is an mpeg video

Another alternative to EO is TINRA - which I find very good.
I think you will need Real Player (or perhaps Real Alternative) for either to work.
As an aside - I wouldn't use Nimo.. but you already have

If it's an MPEG video already , why are you looking to convert it
to MPEG ? -

RealONE Player needs to be removed first, then install RealPlayer 8. Then, you should be able to convert an RM file with no problems. (Real Alternative does not work with tinra. I tried it already.) Any other questions, please ask. -
See if it will play in VirtualDubMod or VdubMpg.
