    I have just bought a LG GSA 4040B and updated the firmware (A301 i think). I can burn with Copy2DVD and DVD decrypter but Record Now Max and Nero don't seem to find it when they scan the IDE channels.

    ??? Help!

    what version of nero?

    Question: When you updated the firmware, was the drive set to MASTER, SLAVE, or CABLE SELECT?

    I was using Record Now Deluxe v4.60 (Veritas now Sonic) and the 4040B was good to go. Now updated throught online update to v6 from Sonic.

    The drive is on as SLAVE.

    I'm using Nero 5.5.??
    and RECORD NOW MAX PLATINUM ??
    (I'll put the exact versions up tonight.
