  1. Hi All,
I know that there is plenty of information in this forum about synchronising problems but due to the fact that I am a newbie newbie I am maybe missing something. It seems as if most of the problems are during capturing
My situation is that I have no synch problems when capturing via my HP dc3000 and Showbiz. The resulting mpg is fine when played back with WMP. I only get synch problems when authoring and creating the final product (DVD+R/RW) - even within 30 minutes. I have used both Showbiz and Pinnacle Studio 8 but they both seem to have the problem. There do not appear to be any settings that I can set in either program. I did try exporting the file (mpg) after editing it and then using that file to create the DVD, this seemed to help a bit.
If anyone can give me any pointers I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanx
    regards

  2. if your final product is dvd ,this is the method i will try.
d/l ulead dvd studio for straight to disc if you plan no major editing.
if you plan to edit use ulead video studio to capture and edit.
i am fairly new and have tried to many programs to list. including showbiz
but the programs i listed have the easiest learning curve(personal opinion)
i capture from vcr no problem. just follow any guides you find on the left
and try to understand the basic settings such as bitrate etc. experiment with small files maybe 10 min or so. and buy some rewritable discs.
experiment experiment experiment it is not that hard.

  3. I am most unhappy with Showbiz. I too have the dc3000 and the audio/video is out of sync and the dvd is jerky. I've gotten no reply from arcsoft. One of the other members on this site recommended NeoDVD.

Have you tried HP for answers? What did they say?

  4. I did contact HP, they were not helpful at all and just neglected to reply to my requests. On their site they do mention something about the video card. I subsequently upgraded to a 128 meg FX5200 and it seems as if from showbiz the sync problem has been sorted out. I did however still get the problem when using studio 8.

I have started a FAQ with a user group linked to it for this product at:

    http://www.k0lee.com/dc3000

The user group is monitored by individuals at HP who are responsible for the dc3000. It's a good way to get your problems solved quickly and to share information with other dc3000 customers.
