I've never really addressed this problem, but it's beginning to become a big hassle now. For some reason beyond my comprehension, FlasKMPEG refuses to make good AVI files. Here's what happens:
1. I encode a DVD using the Thunder MISM plugin to read the .ifo, then encode a small 60 second section to test. It doesn't matter what codec I use(I usually pick Divx High-motion, and Windows Media Audio V2). It encodes properly, no warnings or anything.
2. I try to play the .avi file, "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported." from WMP.
3. I try to edit or otherwise open the file in Virtual Dub, "Cannot determine the file type of <file>"
Am I missing some big thing here cause every way I think about it, it should work.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!
