well here is what i did as i can tell i see no guides for this way i did it ok here goes
1. i extracted the audio from the .avi in vdub as usual
2. then i got my .sub files
then finally to add all together i loaded up my .avi in vdub selected in audio tap instead of source audio i pointed it to the extracted .wav file then i went into video/filters then i added both my .idx and .sub files making sure the .idx came before .sub in the list then i hit ok
then finnally i selected video and i used compression i think and i selected my xvid encoder and i chose the defualt sample rate you can use higher if you want then i just hit save avi and let it do its work
and to sumerize it i got my xvid/divx .avi to be insync with sub/audio so hope this helps someojne
