  1. I encoded a film which has 23.976FPS to SVCD which has 23.976FPS
but I got a movie with jerky playback. I used TMPGEnc with
    vcdhelp.us template with 2-Pass VBR.

    Why it is jerky?

  2. Is the mpeg-file jerky or is it when you play it back on your DVD-player? My DVD-player is not very fond of NTSCfilm, and especially when there is a lot of motion the picture is often very jerky. PAL and NTSC play fine.

You didn't say what the source was. You said it was film, and 23.976 fps. Was it a DVD or an AVI?

The answer to your problems is always:
    1) Field Order
    or
    2) Improper bitrate (source or destination)

  5. Source was AVI.
How can I know which Field order I should use?

  6. I know it has something to do with Interlace. But how can I know if the source film is interlaced and what field order I should use???
