    So...can anyone tell me what capture device(usb r firewire) will capture B&W movies(old 8mm film) transfered to video since apparently advc or dac can't capture B&W

    Hold the phone. Are you telling me I've been going around and around trying to decide if I should buy one or the other, and if I get the DAC, I will not be able to record Lilies of the Fields? Now that's what I call information! Thanks!
